An exhibition of late Iranian cinematography master Abbas Kiarostami is slated to be held in Paris.

Nathanael Karmitz, the CEO of the French film company MK2, has announced that his group decides to turn the spotlight on classics from Charles Chaplin to Claude Chabrol and Abbas Kiarostami.

The films are part of an impressive library of 600 artworks of which the company owns the copyright.

The exhibition will launch in an area of ​​over a thousand square meters, reviewing a number of Kiarostami’s prominent works.

Kiarostami was a multiple award-winning Iranian filmmaker. He was honored at more than 300 film events around the world, including the Cannes Film Festival in 1997, where he won the Palme d'Or for his masterpiece ‘Taste of Cherry’.

He is mostly known as a screenwriter, film editor, art director and producer as well as a poet, photographer and graphic designer.

The veteran Iranian filmmaker who passed away on July 4, 2016, following a heart attack at the age of 76, was honored at more than 300 film events around the world.

The exhibition is set for April 2021.
